Ebbsfleet United have today announced that Club Captain Paul Lorraine and MyFootballclub Player of the Year Joe Howe have agreed to sign new contracts to stay with The Fleet for the coming season.
MyFootballclub Chairman Keith Handley commented ” The signing of these 2 key players by Team Manager Liam Daish are important signings to build the new seasons squad around. With Liam himself agreeing last week to a new 2 year contract, these are 2 more pieces of the Fleets new season Jigsaw put into place”.
Paul Lorraine 28, joined The Fleet in June 2010 from AFC Wimbledon. In his first year with the Fleet, he led the team to promotion back to the Blue Square Bet Conference Premier with victory in the BSB South Play Off Final against Farnborough.
Joe Howe 24, has proved himself to be a very reliable player for the Fleet after he joined the club from Croydon in October 2010. At the recent player of the year presentations after the last game of the season, he picked up four separate player of the year awards.
Last season Paul and Joe played important roles in the clubs successful first season back in the Conference Premier.
It is now very important that members of MyFootballclub consider making extra voluntary financial contributions if they can towards the playing budget, be that either one off or regular monthly payments.
