Q&A with Nathan:
Q: You’ve played for a few teams in multiple levels of football. Thus far, which club/league have you enjoyed the most?
A: Think I enjoyed playing for Brentford fc the most. Had alot of success and the players around me were a good bunch with… great attitudes. Couldn’t fault them in any way.
Q: Hereford is a long way from Gravesend. Was the prospect of playing closer to your hometown a major factor in going with the Fleet?
A: Think it was a factor but not the outlining reason. Am so happy to be back home but more so with a team that has ambition and manager that… wants to compete in the league as well as in the cups.
Q: You’ve now been thru a few practice sessions with our long serving manager, first impressions?
A: Impressed with the sessions so far definitely. Have been tough but I think that with it being part time, the tougher the better
Q: Can you describe the training regiment on and off the field that Liam has you guys on?
A: With the training regiment off the field I think he likes us to take responsibility for ourselves in regards to our diet and lifestyle… On the field it’s all about hard work and effort. We only train 2/3 times a week so we sure all are putting in 100% every time
Q: Up to this point, what has been your best on-field moment thus far?
A: My best on-field moment was probably for Brentford vs Bradford. We won 2-1 and I scored in the last minute of added time. Was a great feeling
Q: We read on twitter that your son had a birthday this past weekend, how old? Any other kids running around the Elder Home?
A: Lol thank you. Yea my sons 2nd birthday is actually on Thursday but his party was last Saturday. I have 2 boys and the others almost 5
Q: Last season the squad was all about Nando’s. Can we expect you to join that bandwagon? How hot?
A: Lol, I’m defo all about the nandos so am fully on the bandwagon. Hot-extra hot is my kinda chicken so won’t be a problem
Q: What are your personal goals for this season, and do you have a feel on the team’s success this year?
A: From what I’ve seen I have a good feeling about the team’s success. It’s no secret that this is a tough league but I think a good cup run… And a play off place is more than possible. My personal target is to be among the top scorers and to be feared by all other opposition
Q: Are you familiar with the Ownership structure at the club concerning MyFC? If so what’s your thoughts on that setup.
A: Know a bit about the structure with MyFC and my thoughts are that it’s good. Gives fans much more input into the club they love an really… I think that’s what matters because behind every successful football club is a good fan base
Q: Big thanks for the time! We can’t wait to see you on the field. Best of luck this coming season. Everyone at myfootballclub is behind you.
A: Thanks for the questions and no doubt we’ll chat again this season. Take care
